The fieldwork reinforcement basket (10) is composed of wire grid walls (11-14), where at least one and preferably all the walls are formed of intersecting metal rods. Their intersections are welded together, and their ends are bent round by 180 deg into hooks, to take inserted metal rods within their hollow throats to reinforce the upper wall edges. Adjacent walls are locked together by wires or cables at their edges (25). The metal rods have a diameter of 3-10 mm and preferably 5 mm.
