A transparent film consisting of an outer abrasion resistant surface (3) and a carrier layer (4) is attached to a plastic component (11) by heat and pressure in a mould (1,7), which can also act injection molding mold for forming the component (11). One half (1) of the die has a microstructure (6) of hemispheres or prisms which is embossed into the outer surface of the film (3) to provide anti-reflective properties.
