The system to take off oil from a roller (10), with a roller mantle (12) rotating around a fixed carrier (11), has an oil guide (30) with a curved upper surface (30a) in front of the hydraulic mantle support (13) in the direction (S) of roller rotation. It forms an oil path (K1) between it and the flat leading side (13a) of the support, which tapers towards the carrier into a second oil path (K2) formed by a second oil guide (40) and the first guide. The system to take oil from a roller assembly has an oil guide, positioned with its upper end at a gap from the inner surface (12') of the roller mantle for the oil (E), which beats against the support, to be directed into an oil collection channel (50) for extraction from the roller assembly., and its lower end is within the oil collection channel. A second oil guide (40) has a curved surface (40a), where one end extends to the upper surface (11a) of the carrier and the other end is into the oil collection channel. The upper end of the second oil path is initially narrowed to a point where the surfaces of the two oil guides are at the shortest gap from each other, and then it expands to open into the oil collection channel. The alignment of the two oil paths is generally on the plane (Y) of the roller gap formed by the roller. Both oil guides match the whole width of the roller mantle support. The first oil guide is mounted at a setting unit (60) to open and close the second oil path. The curved surface of the second oil guide is of an elastic material so that, when the second oil path is closed, the first oil guide is pressed firmly home to seal the entry into the path. The oil collection channel has an initial axial path, to link with radial drillings through the center of the roller carrier into a second axial oil collection channel leading out of the roller.
