The device distributes the wagons from a distribution zone onto different destination tracks with successive separating points and contains a computer for controlling the process and sensors (rail contacts) attached to the rails near a separating points set (I,II). The entry of a following wagon into the separating points is only enabled if the preceding wagon is at a predefined distance from the points.
