An inspection chamber is created b the gap made by a spacer-piece between the anti-leakage cladding and the ground-based protective pipe. The top rim of the chamber is closed by means of welding. The chamber is then filled with fluid or pressure. A measuring-tube leads from the top rim to the leakage-indicator which indicates by means of a sound or visual signal the presence of a leak.
