The hydraulic cylinder has three lifting chambers (4). A piston-shaped lifting chamber (1) has a fluid opening (14) to a hydraulic pipe on a working machine side lying in a bore (9) of a piston rod (8). The annular lifting chambers (2,3) lay between a cylinder tube (10) and the piston rod. A fluid channel (13) is guided to an energy storage (5) from a large annular, lifting chamber between the cylinder tube and rod or horizontal hollow bar (15).
