Operating hot water storage device involves deriving offset from difference between actual, desired storage temperatures to reduce desired storage value to switch-off value for next cycle
The method involves switching off a heat source on reaching a defined storage value and extracting residual heat from the heat source for a defined time. After a defined period following switch-off of the energy supply to the source the actual temperature of the hot water storage device is determined and an offset value derived from the difference to the desired storage value to reduce the desired value to a switch-off value for the next cycle. The method involves switching off the heat source supplying the storage device on reaching a predefined storage value and extracting the residual heat from the heat source for a defined period. After a defined period following switch-off of the energy supply to the heat source the actual temperature of the hot water storage device is determined and an offset value is derived from the difference to the desired storage value to reduce the desired storage value to a switch-off value for the next cycle.
