The system for monitoring and correcting the run of the belt (3) of a bucket conveyor (1) comprise several appropriately positioned inductive proximity sensors which are connected to an analysis/control unit. The latter issues warning and/or operating signals when specified limiting values of a lateral belt runout are reached.
