The system, for use when gaps appear beneath the foundations of a building as a result of ground movements, consists of pumping mortar (6) into the gaps through tubes (3) inserted through a lengthwise beam (2) on which the foundation foot (1) is laid. The tubes are set in groups, with the tubes in each group no more than 50 cm apart, and the mortar is pumped in through one tube in each group e.g. at a pressure of two bars until the gap and tube are filled. Should further gaps appear after a period of some years more mortar can be pumped in through other tubes in the groups, which can be built into the foundations of new buildings.
