The invention concerns a method for producing a play area for children of the type comprising subdivisions for movement on any final support whereon the children move, said subdivisions having a complex shape. The method consists in tracing out the outlines of said subdivisions on an intermediate support, cutting out said outlines on said intermediate support, and setting the cut out parts on the final support.
