The transportable apparatus consists of a storage container (1) for the cryogenic fluid in liquid form, a circuit with an evaporation coil (5) to deliver the fluid in gas form to a user position, and a handling system consisting at least partly of a collar (8) fitted to the container and forming a trough for the collection and removal of condensate. The collar has a downward facing outer convex surface (10) with an outlet (11) for the condensate, and an intermediate concave surface (9) connecting it to the container and fitted with supporting combs (13) for the evaporation coil. At least part of the gas supply circuit has a perforated cover (4) with a skirt (15) mounted on the outside of the collar and equipped with aeration slits (16); it also has a collector (20) for the condensate.
