The case is made from a suitable lightweight composition material in three hinged sections (4, 5, 6), one of which acts as a lid (4) for the other two (5, 6) when they are folded together, one inside the other. When closed it measures between preferably 55 cm wide and long and 8 cm deep and weights between 3 and 7 kg empty. The inside of the case can have pockets, straps and pouches for arranging different articles, and on the outside it has two locking fasteners, handles, a shoulder strap and wheels. A small version could be used as a toy or to hold jewellery or household articles.
