The invention concerns a device for opening clamshells, in particular oysters. It comprises: a base (1) consisting of a longitudinal cradle, having a first end (1a) comprising a stop (10) and a second end (1b) comprising first catching means, a shell (2) being capable of being positioned between said two ends (1a, 1b) pressed against said stop (10); and perforating means (3) comprising a longitudinal blade (4), having one first end forming a pointed tip and means driving said blade (4) in translation, said driving means comprising second catching means (5a).
