The control for an electrical handling machine has a support casing (10) with a control button (20) and a toothed sector (15) formed on the support. A sprung point (30) mounted on the button engages against the toothed sector. The sprung pointer can be deformable (31) with a head (32) movably mounted in a guide (28) formed in the button. The two flexible legs (34,34') each engage against a contact zone (29,29') of the button. The head has a contact surface for the toothed sector and can contact it with a degree of lateral play.
