The tube matrix for a motor vehicle heat exchanger has alternating first (20) and second (26) plates. Each first plate has parallel folded edges (22) to rest one a respective second plate and each second plate has two parallel folded edges (30) to rest on a respective first plate. Turbulence generators (24) and spacers (18) are alternatingly positioned between each first and second plate to define crossing channels for the two fluids.
