The outer layer (13) is formed by thermoplastic also comprising the intermediate layer (12) and optionally the internal layer (11), material which has migrated beyond the intermediate layer during the course of fabrication. An Independent claim is included for the corresponding method of manufacture. A space between the external wall of the preform and the internal wall of the mold, is designed to accommodate the thickness of the external layer. This allows migration of thermoplastic from the intermediate layer and optionally the liner, to beyond the intermediate layer during heating, under the internal pressure of an inflatable bladder.
