The access seat for the shallow end of a swimming pool has a prefabricated concrete seat to hold one user. The seat has a flange (24) which has edge formations (29) to key it into the wall of the swimming pool. There is a wall forming a floor surface extending at right angles to the flange. The seat has a peripheral wall (28) around it opposite to the pool.
