Method of identification of elements limiting the performance of a computer communication network, uses multidimensional correlation between overall and component state variables to detect source of poor performance

The method measures a distributed variable defining communication state between two elements (T1, T3) of the network, then measures local variables defining state of network elements (I1, SW1, ROUT, SW2, I3). A multidimensional correlation between the distributed variable and local variables is computed, and the limiting elements is the one making strongest contribution in the correlation.
