The cable tray (1) is obtained by assembly of two L-shaped parts (5,6) which form the side walls (2,3) and the base (4) of the tray. The first part (5) has transverse cross pieces (12) which terminate in slightly raised loops (13). The second part (6) has transverse loops (17) whose ends are folded under to form a hook (20) which clips over a longitudinal wire (11a,b,c) on the first part.
