Method has the following steps: generation of at least two series of 2-D images, generation of a third series of images by subtraction of one of the first two series of images from the other, effecting of a 3-D reconstruction from the third image series to obtain a subtracted 3-D image, effecting of a 3-D reconstruction from the first image series to obtain a corresponding 3-D image and finally generation of a 3-D image corresponding to the second image series. According to the method if necessary the second image series is taken after injection of a contrast medium to highlight blood vessels. An Independent claim is made for a device for generating 3-D images.
