An autonomous detector of a physical phenomenon consists of a body (1) housing at least two products (10, 20) able to react when they are in contact, a confinement mechanism (3), able to initially isolate the two products and being in other respects sensitive to the appearance of a surrounding physical phenomenon authorising a contact between the two products, and an initiation mechanism (30) sensitive to at least one effect resulting from the reaction between the two products.
