Method, for reserving car parking space, uses central processing station to reserve parking space and communicate access code to motorist before start of journey

The motorist (1) creates a suitable reservation (2) and sends it to a central processing station (5). The central station creates a reservation code (RC) for a suitable car parking space, and returns this code to the user. On arrival the user presents the code to gain entry (12) to the car park. An Independent claim is also included for the system for reserving a car parking space.
