Method includes: (a) illuminate at incident angle between 5 to 15 degrees a virgin zone of the moving offset plate (2), and; (b) measure intensity of the reflected light and compare it with standard values; (c) illuminate at incident angle between 5 to 15 degrees a flat colored zone of the moving offset plate and; (d) measure intensity of reflected light and compare it with standard values. The measurement of virgin and colored zones are done alternatively. An Independent claim is also included for the monitoring and inking system.
