The suspension unit/vibration damper consists of inner (1, 2) and outer (3, 4) armatures with an elastomer material between them in the form of an inner stop (6) and an outer volume (12, 13) separated by a cavity (7) containing a viscous fluid such as silicone oil, having a viscosity of between 120 and 200 centistokes at any temperature. The inner and outer armatures are both made from two coaxial sections, and the stop (6) is made from an elastomer material vulcanized to the inner armature.
