The assembly to reduce hairiness in spun yarns, at each spinning station, has a wetting unit (4) downstream of the sliver drawing cylinders (1,2) and upstream of the guide (3) at the spinner. The yarn material is impregnated in a fluid flow and/or by a deflector (5) at the spinning triangle and at its blocking point (6). The system to reduce hairiness in spun yarn has a wetting unit with a water impregnation section (7) as a channel parallel to the yarn (10). It has a central distribution channel (8) and a feed channel (9), and a catch bath (11) under the applicator channel collects surplus water. The impregnation channel is a tube with the dimensions to take the yarn and the volume of water to be applied, with a maximum length of the gap between the drawing cylinders and the guide. The wetting unit extends along the length of the spinning machine, for the spinning stations, with a central water feed or an impregnation liquid with a water base. The wetting unit also has a cylinder (12), with a controlled direction of rotation and rotary speed. It is partly immersed in the water catch bath, and its mantle is grooved or is covered with a pile material. It is placed at the lower end of the impregnating channel, and is in contact with the yarn material. The deflector is a shaft, which is on an adjustable release mounting at a rod (14), at the level of the spinning triangle. It is of a hard material, resistant to abrasion e.g. tempered or case-hardened steel, or coated with a ceramic material. The mounting rod can be shifted longitudinally on the spinner, on a line parallel to the blocking point and at right angles to the fiber flow line. The rod is shifted by a manual setting unit or a linear motor such as a plunger or a step motor through a gearing. The blocking point of the spinning triangle is a condenser at the sliver drawing unit (18), in relation to the fiber flow line at the blocking point of the drawing cylinders, formed by the cylinder surfaces (22). Upper and lower mantle layer surfaces are upstream of the spinning triangle blocking point, to be set at the cylinders by upper controls, to form a longitudinal hollowed structure. At least one longitudinal hollowed structure is formed by a throat section, shaped to match each upper control cylinder guiding the upper belt. The longitudinal hollow structure is at the support plate of the lower mantle, as a longitudinal channel, with a recess at the base for the upper belt and the lower mantle. The condenser surfaces on the drawing cylinders have a curvature with a slightly larger radius than the cylinder radii.
