An encapsulation building block has a pipe-shaped housing part for a gas-insulated switching plant. The one end of the pipe-shaped housing part (4) is designed as a fastening flange (5) extending radially outwards and the other end as a fastening flange (6) extending radially inwards. The two fastening flanges have different fastening diameters. The fastening flange of smaller diameter goes over into a tube piece extending axially inside the encapsulation building block for the formation of an annular pocket (8). A rupture disk attachment is assigned to one of the two fastening flanges.
