The mobile terminal positioning process has a mobile telephone (4) and base stations (1,2,3). The mobile telephone measures the power from the base stations, and compares the measurements. The mobile telephone emulates the base station terminals, to determine the mobile telephone zone and then uses the power levels from the beacons (11,12,21,22,31,32) to find the phone position more accurately.
