The straddle tractor comprises a chassis (1) on which a first rear wheel (31) is mounted and which supports a straddle unit (2) for a row of vines. The straddle unit extends from the side opposite the first wheel and comprises a leg which carries a second wheel at its lower end. The straddle unit defines a straddle space in which is located a vertical work plane. The chassis also comprises a lateral beam (41,42) the front end of which carries an offset arm (43,44) on the end of which is mounted a steering wheel (33) which is offset relative to the lateral beam towards the work plane.
