A vibratory conveyor system comprises one or more feeders 22, each comprising a base 32 operationally connected, via a vibratory drive 36, to a trough 34, a local power control circuit 28 and a common electrical supply / bus 26. Each feeder may have a unique power supply requirement and the dedicated power control circuit 28 in each permits such variation in the supply to drive each feeder, whilst allowing a common supply 26 to all the feeders 22 in a series. The system may negate the need for individual power supplies lines to a substantial number of feeders 22 with different power requirements, either intentional, such as due to the use of feeders or differing power ratings, or unintentional, such as due to different rates of wear in individual feeders. Each power control circuit 28 may comprise an output rate adjustment (102, fig.7) which may control at least one of the frequency or magnitude of the drive signal to the vibratory drive 36. The common supply 26 may also carry command signals to each feeder 12, from a cental feeder controller 24, such as to switch each feeder 12 on or off.
