Providing a culture system for long-term maintenance (57) in a tissue culture [Abstract] avian PGC. This culture system uses SCF LIF, bFGF, and IGF-I. Birds of chimeric and transgenic, PGC obtained are useful in producing a turkey or chicken in particular.
