PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate an acoustic power level of a sound source in a closed space other than an anechoic room or semi-anechoic room. ;SOLUTION: This acoustic power level estimating method is provided with a step for setting plural sensors 2 inside the closed space 3, a step for installing inside the closed space 3 the sound source 1 of which the acoustic power level is unknown, a step for actuating the power source 1 of which the acoustic power level is unknown, to measure sound pressure levels in respective positions a, b, c, d, e, etc., of the plural sensors 2, a step for calculating the first average sound pressure level which is an average value of all the sensors 2, based on the sound pressure levels measured in the respective positions a, b, c, d, e, etc., of the plural sensors 2, and a step for adding a correction value A (f) to the first average sound pressure level.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
