PURPOSE: To relieve a sense of incongruity provided to a viewer by discriminating whether or not a number of an identified transponder is identical to a number of a transponder making reception and switching the reception to a transponder with the identified number so as to decrease a time difference between the revision of a program number attended with changeover of transponders and the revision of a program number not attended with the changeover. ;CONSTITUTION: A transmitter side uses part of a program number for a number of a transponder sending the program with the program number, a receiver side identifies a program of a transponder sending the program based on the revised program number in the case of revising the program number under the control of a control section 108 so as to discriminate whether or not the number of the identified transponder is identical to the number of the transponder making reception and the reception is switched to a transponder with an identified number when being discriminated not identical.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
