PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the effect of removing scale on a metallic material maximum by sufficiently exerting the energy of cavitation generated on the liq. jet in the liq. and furthermore to execute surface treatment therefor after the removal of scale. ;SOLUTION: In a metallic material producing process in which the surface of a metallic material is sprayed and bombarded with a high speed liq. jet 8 from a nozzle 1, and by the operation of cavitation bubbles, surface treatment is executed, it is bombarded with the region of a jet with the secondary peak of an impact pressure distribution curve toward the direction of the jet stream axis of the high speed water jet 8 in the water as the center to remove scale.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
