PURPOSE: To provide a ball hitting game machine which prevents rapid ending of a game and decreases the variations in scores and game time ;CONSTITUTION: This ball hitting game machine is disposed with plural freely liftable targets in a position apart a prescribed distance forward of a player. These targets fall when hit with a ball thrown by the player. The machine described above is provided with an erection driving means 12 which erects the targets, a detecting means 15 which detects the inclination angles of the targets and a control means 20 which controls the erection driving means 12. The control means 20 energizes the erecting state of the targets by driving the erection driving means 20 with weak force for a prescribed period of time from the start of the game and releases the energization of the erecting state of the targets after lapse of the prescribed period of time. The energization of the erection state of the targets is released when the inclination of the targets to the prescribed angle or above by the impact of the ball is detected by the detecting means 15 even within the prescribed period of time.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
