PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sediment flushing method and sediment flushing equipment capable of gradually discharging sedimentary sand to the downstream side and removing it without discarding stored water without requiring large quantity of energy.;SOLUTION: An impervious sheet 20 is laid so as to cover a sedimentary sand layer 2 except a water supply opening 3 on the upper face of the sedimentary sand layer 2. Water intruding in between the upper face of the sedimentary sand layer 2 and the impervious sheet 0 through the water supply opening 3 flows out from a sediment flushing passage way 11 discharge the sand and soil of the sedimentary sand layer 2 by engulfing sand and soil flowing between the layer 2 and the impervious sheet 20 to form the sedimentary sand layer 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
