METHOD FOR DISSOLVING ABS RESIN OR PS RESIN AND ITS SEPARATION AND RECLAMATION METHOD

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dissolving method which efficiently effects dissolution of an ABS resin or a PS resin, and a separation and reclamation method which has improved the reclamation ratio of a resin. PSOLUTION: The dissolving method comprises adding a solvent 5 containing 50% dimethyl glutarate as the major active component to an ABS resin 1 or a PS resin 3, and agitating and dissolving the resulting mixture under heating at 40C-50C. Thus, the ABS resin or the PS resin is efficiently dissolved in a short period of time by the addition of the solvent and the agitation under heating at 40C-50C to come to a sol. Accordingly, the cost of the dissolving treatment of an ABS resin or the like can be reduced. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
