PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide air conditioner with an installation place name transmitting system for easily setting an address of an apparatus when controlling operation by centralizedly controlling air conditioning equipment equipped in a building. PSOLUTION: This air conditioner with installation place name transmitting system sets the address by using an installation place name when controlling the operation of the air conditioning equipment according to indication from a building control host computer for remotely centralizedly controlling the equipment equipped in the building. The conditioner has: a remote controller for inputting and transmitting a character string of the installation place name; a plurality of indoor machines for associatively transmitting the character string of the installation place name and the address transmitted from the remote controller by presetting a univocal address capable of identifying an individual; and an air conditioning communication device for internally holding an identification number by imparting the univocal identification number to the character string of the installation place name and the address transmitted from the indoor machines. The building control host computer reads out the identification number and the character string of the installation place name, and univocally specifies the indoor machines on the basis of this identification number.
