PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a beautiful lace knit capable of imparting good touch and sweat-absorbing properties. ;SOLUTION: When forming through holes 8, 9 having a predetermined shape by suitably connecting adjacent loops 7 of a knitted wale 2 made on a warp yarn, while knitting a stretchable stretch yarn in a stretched state along the wale 2, each of covering yarns 23 is knitted in along each wale 2 with enabling to have a floating forming part 23b which is not knitted in a continuous course in the knitting direction by using one or more species of non-stretchable fibers selected from vegetable fibers, animal fibers, regenerated fibers and multifilament as a cover yarn or yarns and the covering yarns which cover core yarns having stretchable properties as stretchable yarns.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
