PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a crack from occurring at a sealing part of a light-emitting tube and improve lifetime.;SOLUTION: The tungsten halogen lamp has a light-emitting tube 1 in which a filament 8 is provided having a sealing part at the end, and at the same time, a mother body gas is sealed with either xenon gas or krypton gas as a main ingredient. If rated voltage of the halogen lamp is V (V), sealing pressure of the mother body gas at normal temperature is P (MPa), and composition rate of xenon gas and krypton gas is Xe% and Kr% each, following formulae, V≥100 (V), and P≥0.7+0.1×(Kr%/(Kr%+Xe%)), (however, Kr%+Xe%=100(%), and 0≤Kr%≤100, and 0≤Xe%≤100) are satisfied.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
