PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently provide a commodity to customers by facilitating work for supplying the commodity to a commodity transport conveyer for stocking the commodity.;SOLUTION: The circulating food counter is provided with a crescent chain 18 disposed above a base stand 12, with a commodity transport conveyor 24 which is divided into a plurality of sections and directly connected to a short circuit conveyor 20 connecting the circulating paths of the conveyor 24 and with sensors 30 disposed at the chain 18 on both sides of the conveyor 20 respectively. In the circulating food counter, when one of the sensors 30 senses the nonpresence of a commodity, a prescribed number of the commodity 14 on the conveyor 24 is supplied onto the chain 18 on the side of the sensor 30 having sensed the absence of the commodity through the short circuit conveyor 20, and the following commodity 14 on the conveyor 24 is conveyed to the side of the short circuit conveyor 20 for stand-by.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
