PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize a connection waiting time which occurs for a requester by a communication connection using call back, and to reduce connection costs to be charged to a connection provider. PSOLUTION: In the information providing method utilizing a call back system, the requester makes a call to an information providing device connected via a prescribed line network by using a telephone set for requester to be utilized by the requester himself/herself and the connection is cut before generating a call tariff. Therefore, the information providing device acquires a telephone number corresponding to the notification of the telephone number of the telephone set for requester from the requester to the information providing device, the information providing device makes a call to the acquired telephone number, and the connection of the telephone set for requester and the information providing device is set up. Corresponding to the designation of a telephone number of a connecting destination from the requester through the telephone set for requester, the information providing device transmits prescribed providing information to the telephone set for requester in a time zone for trying the connection between the telephone set for requester and a connecting destination telephone set as a telephone set in the connecting destination.
