Copper alloy make synchronizer ring null of the automobile transmission which is superior in resistance burn

摘要

PURPOSE: To impart the seizure resistance excellent in severe operational condition of high load, high rotation, etc., by regulating the hardness of sliding surface in the fixed range with use of the copper alloy of specified composition for stock. ;CONSTITUTION: A synchronizer ring is produced with the copper alloy having a composition consisting of, by weight, 35-39% Zn, 2.5-3. 5% Al, 2.0-3.0% Ni, 1.0-2.0% Ti, 0.1-0.5% Mg and the balance Cu with inevitable impurities, A Vickers hardness of at least the sliding surface of ring is in the range of 190-210 Hv. In producing the synchronizer ring, the hot extracted cylindrical material of copper alloy of the composition is used for stock, and the stock is hot forged and then machined to the prescribed shape to be finished. It is desirable that the hardness of sliding surface is adjusted by executing annealing in 350-450°C.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
