PURPOSE: To provide a method for detecting abnormality of a power transmitting means of a motor-driven injection molder wherein when the power transmitting means such as a timing belt, a V velt, a chain, etc., is broken the breakdown is detected, and its signal is outputted. ;CONSTITUTION: In a motor-driven injection molder wherein a rotating torque of a motor 31 is transmitted to a driving system of the injection molder with a power transmitting means such as a belt, a chain, etc., a first pulse generator 42 is fitted to the motor 31, and a second pulse generator 52 is fitted to a crosshead 14. The numbers of pulses emitted from those pulse generators 42, 52 are compared with each other with a comparison means 48. When a compared value exceeds a set range, the power transmission means is judged as broken or abnormal, and its signal is outputted from an outputting means 49.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
