BEACON APPARATUS FOR SEARCHING FOR AVALANCHE VICTIM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a beacon apparatus for searching for avalanche victims that rapidly searches for a plurality of victims that are buried into snow due to an avalanche.;SOLUTION: A transmitter 30 intermittently outputs an approximately 457 kHz sinusoidal wave that is subjected to amplitude modulation by identification information data that each victim carries by an identification signal-inputting means 2 for example at a ratio of every other second or 0.1 second. A receiver side 40 receives the sinusoidal wave by a pair of reception sections 6, 7, 8, and 9 for converting to digital data by an A/D converter 10, and for fetching by a data-fetching means 14. Based on the fetched data, a distance-calculating means 16 and a direction-calculating means 19 calculate a distance and a direction. Further, an identification number-processing means 22 identifies each victim according to the data that are fetched by a serial data-fetching means 21.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
