METHOD FOR ISOLATING AND CULTURING PRECURSOR CELL FOR TONGUE EPITHELIUM, AND METHOD FOR INDUCING DIFFERENTIATION THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for isolating a precursor cell from a tongue epithelium, and a method for obtaining a long-term survival cell by culturing the isolated precursor cell, and further to provide a method for inducing differentiation of the cell to the one like an epithelial cell or a nerve cell.;SOLUTION: This method for isolating the precursor cell for the tongue epithelium comprises selecting a cell expressing integrin β1 from the tongue epithelium by using a magnetic column. The method for proliferating the precursor cell for a taste cell comprises culturing the precursor cell for the tongue epithelium including the precursor cell for the taste cell in the presence of a culture supernatant obtained by culturing the isolated precursor cell for the tongue epithelium. The method for differentiating the cell to the one like the epithelial cell or the nerve cell comprises culturing the cell in a medium obtained by adding a differentiation-inducing factor.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
