Kanji pattern storage memory read control circuit

PURPOSE:To provide a readout control circuit for the KANJI (Chinese character) pattern storage memory which can transfer both KANJI of 24X24 dots and 16X16 dots by the same interface when the KANJI patterns are read out of the KANJI pattern storage memory where both patterns of 24X24 dots and 16X16 dots are stored in the same chip. CONSTITUTION:The readout control circuit for the KANJI pattern storage memory has a KANJI pattern storage memory 30, an FF1 (80), an FF2 (81), and a SEL part 90; a clock control part 40 which supplies a 1/2-clock latch signal to the FF1 (80) and FF2 (81) and a 1/2-clock selective signal to the SEL part 90 when the 16-dot pattern is specified, or a 1/3 clock to the FF1 (80), a 2/3 clock to the FF2 (81), and a selective signal to the SEL part 90 when the 24-dot pattern is specified; and an address counter part 60 which generates an address with the latch signal from the clock control part 40 to the FF1 (80) and supplies it to the KANJI pattern storage memory 30.
