PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a grinding stone piece for a cylindrical grinding stone lower in cost and longer in life than a conventional one, and also provide a cylindrical grinding stone using the grinding stone piece.;SOLUTION: Abrasive grains are mixed in a resin solution comprising an aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol and a mixed solution of an initial condensate of melamine resin and an initial condensate of phenol resin, and the mixture is cast and dried before subjected to heating that cures the phenol-resin initial condensate and the melamine-resin initial condensate to produce the grinding stone piece 6 for the cylindrical grinding stone. As an outermost circumference of a rotatable cylindrical member, a second elastic body 5 is wound via a support, and on an outer circumference of the second elastic body 5, many grinding stone pieces 6 are arrayed at a given angle θ to a rotation axis direction of the cylindrical member.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
