METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING WOODY DECORATIVE VENEER CLAD FLOOR MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a woody decorative veneer clad floor material using an electron beam curable resin to obtain capacity necessary as the floor material and capable of obtaining capacity equal to that of a general woody material even from an aspect of a design.;SOLUTION: Woody decorative veneer 3 comprising woody thin veneer is laminated to a base material 1 having a barrier layer 2 provided on its surface to obtain a substrate 4 which is, in turn, heated to penetrate a colored electron beam curable resin 5 into the surface of the substrate 4 under pressure using a roll coater. Subsequently, the excessive resin adhering to the surface of the substrate 4 is scraped off and the resin penetrated into the woody decorative veneer 3 is cured by electron beam from a low energy type electron beam irradiator and the surface of the woody decorative veneer 3 is subjected to sanding treatment to remove the bonded resin before coating finish is applied to the surface of the woody decorative veneer 3.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
