PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decorative veneer, a woody plate-like building material including the decorative veneer and a manufacturing method of the decorative veneer, capable of saving resources even while exhibiting a broad-width appearance.SOLUTION: A decorative veneer 10 which is formed in a long-size shape when viewed in the thickness direction, is formed by slicing a laminated lumber 13 laminated and adhered by abutting broad-width square-pillar shaped woods 12 on each other, of which a dimension obtained by summing dimensions along veneer width direction of the plurality of square-pillar shaped woods is set to be the same as a dimension along the veneer width direction, on at least one edge side in the veneer longitudinal direction of the plurality of square-pillar woods 11, 11 which are abutted in a direction along the veneer width direction, and the plurality of square-pillar woods are subjected to heating treatment by means of high-pressure steam so that mutual color tones are matched.
