PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for fixing a liquid crystal display panel and an engaging member for fixing the liquid crystal display panel which can easily and surely fix the liquid crystal display panel to a substrate without using screws or adhesive tapes and can reserve a parts mounting area under the liquid crystal display panel on the substrate.;SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display panel 20 is arranged so as to be placed in the channel-shaped interior of an engaging member 10, and the bottom of the liquid crystal display panel 20 is pressed to a protrusion 12 for engagement to retreat the protrusion 12 for engagement, and the liquid crystal display panel 20 is stored on an extended part 11 of the engaging member 10 and is held by the returned protrusion 12 for engagement, and protrusions 14a of a spacer legs 14 of the engaging member 10 in which the liquid crystal display panel 20 is stored are inserted to holes 32 of a substrate 30, and detaining claws 13a of leg parts 13 inserted to notches 31 of the substrate 30 are engaged with the bottom of the substrate 30, and thus the liquid crystal display panel 20 is fixed to the substrate 10.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
